Students will not be able to register for classes in any way which may affect enrollments.

Students need transcripts sent in a timely manner.  The receipt of transcripts may determine a student's entry into a college or university, or a program at another institution.  This may affect a student's ability to get hired by an employer.  Downtime affects our ability to meet the student requests.

Requests for verification of enrollments could impact a students ability to show proof of enrollment for medical/auto insurance and deferments could affect the students status for repayment of student loans.

We post degrees and certificates all the time not just at the end of a semester.  If we don't have access, we can't complete posting.  This could impact students who need to have transcripts sent or employment or other purposes.

Reports for 45th day wil be run as of October 1 for reporting to the Auditor General's Office.  If the system is not available during this time, we will not be able to collect data for our reports or corrections may not be able to be posted.

We will not be able to post or change grades which will affect the students' transcripts.  Grade types (P/Z) will not be changed to reflect a student request.

Delay in student grading - any one week would not be much of a preference over any other week.

Early notification of down week could lessen impact of down week.

Enrollments for online courses are checked to pay instructors.  It would be best if SIS were down the off week of the payroll audit.

Calendar/schedule will have to be changed asap to accomodate down time this week.

We need the daily and hourly enrollment data from the SIS to govern opening new sections for students to enroll in for Flex II.  We need to be able to open and staff faculty into these sections daily as we approach the 10/15 start date of Flex II.

Programming will need to update information in the welcome letter/registration letters prior to 'go live' for PeopleSoft.  Currently, we list access information (which may change) and course modality etc...  These fields need updated to accommodate the new system.

 

In addition, these can not be sent to students when PeopleSoft is down...so we need to send prior to. 

 

Is it possible to have three weeks in-between starts during this timeframe?

All General Information and/or Course Support calls need to lookup information in SIS to assist students/faculty. 

Everything we do in Course Production & Support involves the SQL View data for students and faculty.  This information being unavailable will mean that we have delays for customers if they don't register early.

We could work around the time restrictions as long as they were not too long.

During SIS downtime the Cashiers office will not be able to provide the data to students stated in the Activity Description

45th Day reporting is vital not only for Dual Enrollment, but for all of our credit programs.  This drives the state funding formula.  Although the critical SIS date is 10/1/2007, the week following 45th Day allows for corrections, so access to SIS would be vital.

We need access to SIS to close classes and to adjust faculty load.  Not having access would impact the next payroll.

Due to various start dates and information (OLA Keys) that need to be submitted to IBM there may be impact on student access to courses. 

Student agreements are sent to IBM and students daily.  Students use student agreement to select courses for enrollment.  Student agreements not submitted in a timely manner will cause student's GoArmyEd/eArmyU accounts to be placed on hold and affect Rio enrollment.

GoArmyEd/eArmyU student grades are to be submitted to IBM within 14 days of student's course end date.  There are monetary penalties ($3 per student per day) for grades not submitted within this timeframe.  Student GoArmyEd/eArmyU accounts are placed on hold for grades not submitted in a timely manner which will affect enrollment.

Students will not be able to resolve some issues regarding course selection, grades, other GoArmyEd related issues.

SIS data entry is vital for an accurate payroll audit.  Hundreds of adjunct faculty will be counting on receiving pay for their classes that begin on 10/15.

This will not be as large a faculty audit as the 10/16 start date, since many sections will require revised contracts, rather than payroll audit.  The impact would be much worse on 10/15-10/17.
