Title:
Updated Decision Making Process
Body:
For SIS related issues:
In order for a CIT vote to be taken there must be a quorum.
A quorum exists when eight or more voting units are present.
CIT will vote on CIT sub committee issues and will not submit such issues to the councils for discussion.
Non VP Council will forward recommendations to CIT for discussion and voting as deemed necessary.
The Council and their respective VP Council need to determine what is forwarded for VP review regarding SIS prior to a recommendation being sent to CIT.
If CIT cannot come to an agreement the issue will be elevated to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell.
If the CIT decision conflicts with the Council recommendation, the Council can elevate the issue to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell, or higher if supported, or accept the CIT decision.
If Paul Dale and Steve Creswell cannot come to agreement the issue will be elevated to POG.
A CIT vote will consist of one vote per unit below that is indicated on the CIT Matrix (see attached updated CIT Matrix):
Ø      Phoenix College
Ø      Glendale Community College
Ø      GateWay Community College
Ø      Maricopa Skill Center
Ø      Mesa Community College
Ø      Scottsdale Community College
Ø      Rio Salado College
Ø      South Mountain Community College
Ø      Chandler-Gilbert Community College
Ø      Paradise Valley Community College
Ø      Estrella Mountain Community College
Ø      District Office
A CIT vote will be considered final based on the majority.
Majority will be achieved when the number of votes for one option exceeds the number of votes of the other option(s) by any amount.
In the event there is a tie the issue will be elevated to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell
