How do I get access to EASIS +
EASIS+ is our “Early Access to the Student Information System” and is a great tool for building familiarity with SIS.

When EASIS+ was recently refreshed, some user accounts experienced difficulties.  If your account was locked out or your security access has changed, please email Nancy Arseneault or Ruby Miller.

If you have not yet logged in to your EASIS+ account, please follow these steps:

Step 2:  Notify Ruby Miller that you have completed the online tutorial.  Ruby will notify you when you will be able to log-in.

Step 3:  Get your Enterprise ID.  This is your username to log into EASIS+.  Go to https://memo3.maricopa.edu/usertool.html and login.  Click on the "login help" link if you need assistance.  Once you are able to log in click on "My Profile."

Step 4:  Log in to EASIS+.  Your username is your Enterprise ID (Your USERNAME IS CASE SENSITIVE - USE ALL CAPS).  Your password is your MEMO email password.

Purging of vacation time for key SIS project members
Message from Kim Granio, Director of Financial Services and Controller, to Project Oversight Group (POG) Members.

In the best interest of our students, as the Maricopa Community College District works towards the implementation of the new Student Information System (SIS), it is anticipated that key individuals may be required to forego vacation time they would normally take if the project were not underway. As you are aware, each calendar year individual employee vacation balances must be below a certain level to ensure hours are not forfeited at December 31...see attachment for more details

NSS Scope Reduction
As we discussed at the last CIT meeting on December 5th, the POG has met with the SIS Project Leadership team several times over the last few weeks to consider scope reductions in the project.

The scope reductions included the following:

1. Modification/Interface reductions - 11 modifications/interfaces were recommended to be eliminated or deferred to post go-live implementation.

An additional 3 mods are still being evaluated around potential workarounds, impact to staff and students, and current status.

2. The implementation of the Recruitment module was recommended to be deferred to post go-live.

3. A reduction in scope of Advising & Degree Audit was recommended.

It would be implemented for staff use only in the October '07 go-live with a limited number of degree plans as determined by Curriculum, the Advising team, and the colleges.

The POG approved these scope reductions as per the recommendations. They also reiterated a strong comittment to the October 2007 go-live date.

They were also very supportive of the project teams efforts to date at all levels.  Please share this information with all affected parties at your institutions.

See the attachments included in this post for additional detail on these scope reductions. These documents have been updated with additional detail including descriptions of the affected modifications and a description of the workaround.

Updated Decision Making Process
For SIS related issues:
In order for a CIT vote to be taken there must be a quorum.
A quorum exists when eight or more voting units are present.
CIT will vote on CIT sub committee issues and will not submit such issues to the councils for discussion.
Non VP Council will forward recommendations to CIT for discussion and voting as deemed necessary.
The Council and their respective VP Council need to determine what is forwarded for VP review regarding SIS prior to a recommendation being sent to CIT.
If CIT cannot come to an agreement the issue will be elevated to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell.
If the CIT decision conflicts with the Council recommendation, the Council can elevate the issue to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell, or higher if supported, or accept the CIT decision.
If Paul Dale and Steve Creswell cannot come to agreement the issue will be elevated to POG.
A CIT vote will consist of one vote per unit below that is indicated on the CIT Matrix (see attached updated CIT Matrix):
Ø      Phoenix College
Ø      Glendale Community College
Ø      GateWay Community College
Ø      Maricopa Skill Center
Ø      Mesa Community College
Ø      Scottsdale Community College
Ø      Rio Salado College
Ø      South Mountain Community College
Ø      Chandler-Gilbert Community College
Ø      Paradise Valley Community College
Ø      Estrella Mountain Community College
Ø      District Office
A CIT vote will be considered final based on the majority.
Majority will be achieved when the number of votes for one option exceeds the number of votes of the other option(s) by any amount.
In the event there is a tie the issue will be elevated to Paul Dale and Steve Creswell
